Letters Nov. 11: Carney and Trump; universities depend on foreign students

I’m becoming disillusioned with Prime Minister Mark Carney.

On the Trump tariff trade-war front, The Donald is winning hands down!

1. Car manufacturers are leaving Canada for the U.S.

2. Trump keeps adding tariffs on top of tariffs.

3. Carney has so far delivered not a single positive response.

4. Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s ad in America stated nothing but facts; yet Carney has apologized (I’m shocked).

5. Although our prime minister strongly talked about climate change in the past, he now uses petroleum industry language.

Instead of continuing to call for the phasing out of fossil fuels, he now says that the oil and gas reserves which are to (possibly) be developed off Newfoundland are “low-carbon.”

Scientific oil experts, however, inform us that there’s no such thing as low-carbon oil.

I’m aware that Carney is trying to be pragmatic (especially when dealing with man-child Trump).

Nevertheless, he seems to be abandoning his principles and achieving nothing for his efforts.

Lumber, automobiles, steel, aluminum, copper and energy from Canada are all in Trump’s firing line, while we wait and wait and wait for some action in return by Carney.

Many people think Prime Minister Mark Carney is not being forceful with U.S. President Donald Trump. No elbows up.

But Trump is a man with multiple personality disorders. One is obstructive narcissistic personality disorder.

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them.

But behind this mask of extreme confidence, they are not sure of their self-worth and are easily upset by the slightest criticism.

As a result, they can do things that obstruct........
