Comment: Canada-first approach needed at the airport
A commentary by a Saanich resident.
Listening to the spokespeople from Victoria International Airport try to justify their wholly wrong decision of awarding the contract for parking services to an American company is truly a painful experience.
They start and finish with all the usual corporate double-speak talking points such as, “We followed all the rules,” “We sought the best price for our users” and “We followed every protocol.”
To be clear: Not a single letter writer, nor I, have accused YYJ of breaking a law, rule, protocol, policy or anything else that could be construed as illegal in some........
