'Bear in Mind Bharatiya Sanskriti': Jaipur Police Places Conditions on CJP Meet After Initially Denying Permission

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party, a youth-led group which has been holding meetings across India, initially received a denial which was soon followed by permission, albeit with a few conditions, by the Jaipur Police ahead of their forthcoming protest in Rajasthan, scheduled on June 15, 2026. 

In a letter dated June 13, 2026, sent on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, Rajrshi Raj and addressed to Shashi Meena, coordinator of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), it was stated: “This is to inform you with respect to the permission sought for a protest on the issue of NEET paper leak on June 15, 2026 at the Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur, during an investigation in this regard it was found out that from the point of view of maintaining law and order, it won’t be possible to grant permission.”

Speaking to The Wire, Shashi Kant Meena from the CJP, who had applied for a permission on June 9, said, “We were held up for four days thanks to various formalities.
