Jerusalem police confiscate Palestinian flags, anti-Zionist posters in Haredi area
Jerusalem police tore down three Palestinian flags from a building in the heart of the hardline Haredi neighborhood of Mea Shearim on Monday morning, to the displeasure of its residents.
Locals in the predominantly anti-Zionist neighborhood hurled eggs at officers attempting to remove the flags, which hung from the window of a multistory building.
An Israel Police spokesman said no officers were harmed in the egging and no damage was caused.
During the same operation, police said officers came upon a warehouse in the area stocked with Palestinian flags, walkie-talkies and other posters with “inciting content against the State of Israel.”
