We Did It
As I listen to the last few Prakim of the Nach Yomi cycle, a sense of fulfillment encompasses my soul. I am on the East Coast and the freezing cold does not penetrate my body or mind.
It is as if a protective layer of holiness wraps itself around the inside of my being.
A two year cycle has ended. Listening to the Navi is like cracking open a walnut. It reveals its intricate inner parts, the layers of Jewish history displayed in all their glory.
We begin to comprehend the true meaning of our existence because through the voice of the smartest women we receive a step by step understanding of these great men who conversed with Ha Kadosh Baruch Hu. As long as the Shechina was present that connection was clear. Once it was removed even the prophets felt separated from that lifeline to the heavens.
I say Tehilim every day for so many reasons and receiving explanations through Nach Yomi has been an eye opening experience. Before this I read it without true comprehension. I still struggle but it is as if I received eye drops before an examination. At first the world was blurry and slowly with time the blurriness lifted and clarity emerged.
This is how I feel when studying Nach Yomi. My mind set receives a bit more light and a bit more understanding.
I feel so appreciative of the great minds behind Nach Yomi, these wonderful women who are so wise and so learned and who share their knowledge with thousands who wish to absorb even a fraction of their wisdom.
So thank you. Thank you for sharing.
