On October 8, 2023, after the horrific attack by Hamas terrorists on Israel, and the murder and rape of thousands of Israelis, protests against Israel burst out in U.S. universities and capitals throughout the world. Some Jews were surprised by this, but I was not.

I grew up in Iran, today a cauldron of antizionism, the latest form of Jew hatred. I understood the Ayatollah Khomeini’s mission to spread antizionism throughout the Muslim world. The objective of Jew hatred throughout the ages has been the same, to annihilate Jews by demonizing them in ways that appeal to the masses. But the method to accomplish this transforms with time, and today, we are in the era of antizionism, or the demonization of the Jewish state.

Each era mobilizes Jew hatred by creating blood libels or myths about the cosmic evil of Jews so great, that fears of the public are stimulated to commit violence against them. During the religious era of the first to the eighteenth centuries CE, Jews were demonized as Christ killers. Vicious lies were spread about Jews making Passover matzoh with the blood........
