Betrayal from Within: Strange Bedfellows in America’s Israel Divide
Not so long ago, America First used to mean standing proudly with our ally, Israel. Now, it chants: “Not our problem.”
If you’d told me three years ago that Israel would become the wedge splitting our MAGA base, I never would’ve believed it. I remember those 2020 and 2024 Trump rallies like yesterday. There I was, waving my American and Israeli flags, getting high-fives from patriots all around me, from every background and race, including from fed-up Democrats. We were united then: against the left, unfair censorship, vaccine mandates, government overreach on parental rights, and protecting our kids in schools. We backed the blue, loved our president, cherished our constitutionally protected freedoms, and felt like an unstoppable force.
But I don’t feel that way today. This new “America First/America Only” crowd is spewing Russian-style propaganda like useful idiots, and the horseshoe theory is in full swing. Extremes from both sides are meeting in the middle to bash our true ally, Israel.
Two years ago, when people asked me about Candace Owens going haywire. I’d give my explanations, but it always ended with, “I’m much more worried about Tucker.” Tucker built a long career on credibility, and he’s not just appealing to Gen Z, he’s planting seeds of division and doubt in older generations too. He’s done a complete 180, influenced by figures like Alexander Dugin (whom he interviewed in Moscow, calling his ideas “dangerous” but worth hearing). And here is a fun funding fact: in 2023, Tucker’s network secured $15 million in seed funding led by Omeed Malik through his firm 1789 Capital, an American investor of Iranian-Pakistani descent who’s spoken at Qatari-hosted events like the Doha Forum.
Clips online frame it as Malik putting Tucker “in business.” Whether there’s official Qatari government backing or not, money from a wealthy Muslim businessman with Middle East connections raises serious questions about influences on his recent pivot. It might explain why he’s worked to normalize aspects of Islamic governance, praising places under Sharia for “submission to God” and low crime rates—while staying largely silent on the brutal persecution of Christians in the name of Islam in Nigeria and Sudan. There, Fulani militants, Boko Haram, and others have slaughtered thousands of believers annually, displaced millions, and burned churches, yet Tucker platforms guests downplaying it as mere “tribal conflict” or “coordinated propaganda,” not the targeted religious genocide many call it. If you can’t blame the Jews, there will be no news, right? This selective focus is part of the broader division we’re seeing.
The Shift from Within
Tucker’s shift, together with other echo chamber podcast hosts and the growing audience they are bringing with them, is alarming. He’s on record saying he was “physically mauled” by a demon in his bed, leaving claw marks—a wild claim that makes you wonder about his judgment. But it’s his recent rhetoric that’s the real red flag. He’s called for Pete Hegseth, Marco Rubio, and even Trump to face jail over their stances on potential conflicts. He’s normalized Sharia law, praising places under it for having “a rape rate of zero” and saying “the entire point of life is submission to God.” And he’s described Hamas not as a terrorist group but as a “political organization.”
When he claims “unconditional surrender” in war means “foreign troops get to r*pe your wives and daughters,” Houston, we have a problem. Not just the funding issue – it’s this kind of treacherous rhetoric reaching millions of Americans, including the young men and women in our military defending our country, that really disrupts morale and sows doubt in their mission and leadership. What more evidence do you need that Tucker and his flock are the true enemy from within, wreaking much more internal havoc? Conicodence?? This echoes pre-Holocaust propaganda, planting doubt in our president, his administration, and now the military.
X has turned into a sewer of hate, where accounts like mine aren’t protected from heinous, violent speech. Bots are out of control, exacerbated by algorithms, confirmation bias, and cognitive dissonance. Make no mistake, the digital war is bigger than any physical one. Right now, good Americans, Jews, Christians, everyone who sees clearly, are seemingly losing this war.
The Enemy of My Enemy…
And here’s the crazy part: the enemy of my enemy is my friend. It’s no surprise we’re seeing newly minted Catholic converts like Carrie Prejean Boller standing side-by-side with anti-Israel Muslim leaders and groups. They may have different endgames, one dreaming of a European-style Catholic theocracy of old, the other wanting America overtaken by Sharia law, but what they share is a common means: weakening the Republican Party and undermining the Judeo-Christian values that underpin our constitutional republic.
When you see “Queers for Palestine” marching alongside people waving Muslim flags, standing next to “America First” white nationalists – you gotta wonder, how did we get here? This isn’t coincidence; it’s by design, a deliberate fracturing to erode support for Israel and the shared values that made America strong.
On the heels of recent events like Tucker’s interview with Mike Huckabee (where biblical defenses of Israel sparked backlash) and the abhorrent Candace Owens versus Erika Kirk feud, this is more than just a difference of opinions. There is a clear moral divide here, and it’s not by accident.
Charlie Kirk held us together for a moment; there was a revival in this country, but darkness has come like moths to a flame since his funeral. Owens peddled wild conspiracies about his assassination, implying Israeli involvement and accusing Turning Point USA staff, while Erika Kirk pleaded for truth and unity. Those attacking the grieving widow, a committed Christian Zionist, are the same ones suffering from severe Israel Derangement Syndrome and largely overlap with outright Jew-haters. The people hyper-focused on Jews and Israel are the very ones hyper-critical of the crying widow, united in their suspicions as followers of false prophets of conspiracy, not of light, not of Torah, not the Word. Their lack of discernment is proof of their godlessness, turning grief into grift and truth into twisted narratives.
Alas, this is biblical. This is good versus evil, and we’ve been through it before, especially as Jews. This ain’t our first rodeo. As God promised in Genesis 17:7-8: “I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you… The whole land of Canaan… I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.” Challenges come; exile, persecution, division, even strange alliances—but He doesn’t break His covenant. Deuteronomy 31:6 reminds us: “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.” For Christians, Romans 11:26 echoes: “And in this way all Israel will be saved.” God’s promise demands our resilience. Jews must be proactive: learn self-defense, get armed, stay strong, stay vigilant.
Nonetheless, history has shown repeatedly that the Jews are the canaries in the coal mine; they have never been the enemy. They have always been the scapegoat.
We have hard years ahead, but things eventually will calm down again. They always do, because the world needs us, the world needs the Jewish People. They can’t go a day without our innovations, inventions, medicine, entertainment, making lives better and easier. This is our Tikkun Olam, our mission to repair the world. As Jews, the children of Abraham from the lineage of Isaac, the people of Israel, we were chosen not because we’re better, but because we’ve been entrusted with huge responsibilities to be a light unto the nations.
Don’t get me wrong, not everyone’s a light. We’ve got bad apples, the most self-hating Jews who make you say, “With Jews like that, who needs antisemites? LOL.” Our spectrum goes from George Soros to Ben Shapiro! I’m specifically talking about the proud Jew who understands the sacrifices our families and ancestors made to come to America for freedom.
I will be damned if I don’t do my part to honor my parents, my grandparents, their legacy, and stand proud for who I am here is America. It’s an honor to carry this heritage, this lineage. Never underestimate the power of the Jewish spirit; it’s in every single one of us.
I urge you not to waste time arguing with idiots online. Work on building your own life to your own full potential, spend time with people you love, get reacquainted with our amazing heritage and religion (Check out your local amazing Chabad!) and spend more time building bridges. Also, get hope and inspiration from our wonderful non-Jewish and Christian allies who see through the noise. Support them, invite them to Shabbat dinner, speak openly, make it safe for questions. Let’s build those bridges because God’s promise isn’t just for us.
Genesis 12:3 says, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through Abraham and his offspring.”
