The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to launch a crackdown against vehicles illegally operating on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes in Peshawar.

According to the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), a formal operation against rickshaws and taxis using BRT corridors will begin today. Officials said the enforcement drive will continue for one week and will be carried out in phases.

Authorities explained that the main objective of the campaign is to eliminate illegally operating vehicles from BRT routes, which often disrupt the movement of buses and create traffic........
