Oxford United are back in Championship action on Saturday in an important pre-Christmas fixture against a struggling Charlton Athletic.

The U's come into the game after a week in which Gary Rowett's side could only muster one point from three games, the last being a 2-1 home defeat to Preston North End.

Yellows boss Rowett admitted after the game that he had got the starting formation wrong, opting for five in defence and two up front as he had in the draw at Blackburn Rovers in the match prior.

It seems that the 51-year-old may opt to change his approach in order to bring some Christmas cheer in the last game before a jam-packed schedule.
