The action follows instances where the official @TeamTrump TikTok account and the White House utilized Swift's songs such as her track "August" in political clips and celebratory administration videos.

A video posted by the Trump campaign was hit with copyright restrictions, displaying TikTok’s message: "The copyright owner hasn't made this sound available in your country."

US president and the leading pop star have a history of public tension. Swift previously endorsed Joe Biden in 2020 and Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, prompting public criticism from Trump on social media.
