The first round of high-level talks between Iran and the United States has concluded with breakthrough signs despite President Trump’s stern warnings regarding Lebanon, Strait of Hormuz and resumption of attacks on Iran.

Mediators from Qatar and Pakistan reported "encouraging progress," and Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, described the results as "major progress" toward ending the conflict in Lebanon.

According to mediators, both parties, Washington and Tehran have agreed to a roadmap aimed at reaching a final peace deal within 60 days.

According to the statement released by the Qatari foreign ministry, the technical talks would continue throughout the week at the Bürgenstock resort to address remaining issues, such as Lebanon and Iran’s nuclear........
