The United Nations’ warning that floods now threaten over 800,000 people in the Gaza Strip underscores a catastrophe layered upon catastrophe. Torrential rains have inundated already devastated neighbourhoods, displaced families sheltering in makeshift camps, and overwhelmed what little remains of Gaza’s infrastructure.
