Sexual exploitation is rampant. We must embrace the 'Survivor Model'

Throughout our society, rampant misogyny and violence against women and girls are not only prevalent, but pervasive. Lately, a lot of attention has rightfully focused on Jeffrey Epstein, Sean “Diddy” Combs and the Alexander Brothers for alleged sex trafficking and exploitation. However, people shouldn’t take notice or care only when celebrities or real estate giants are finally caught after years of rumors.

Every single day, men of means and privilege are purchasing vulnerable people for sex. It’s transpiring in big cities and small towns across America in total anonymity. And these men aren’t just those whose names are found in Page Six or gracing TMZ. Often, they’re just “regular guys” in our communities: doctors, lawyers, IT consultants, basketball coaches, church leaders, etc.

Recently my organization released a new report, “Buyers Unmasked: Exposing the Men Who Buy Sex & Solutions to End Exploitation” — which focuses on the men paying for sexual acts. This explosive new report exposes the damage these predators cause to vulnerable women........
