Consider long view of Trump’s Iran plan

The legacy media’s coverage of Iran has been schizophrenic.

First, they accused President Trump of committing war crimes. Then 36 hours later he’s mocked for negotiating a ceasefire. Which is it? Their default position takes the opposite view no matter what he says or does.

Since the beginning of the Iran war, the media’s coverage has been divided by ideology.

The legacy media is uniformly negative, predicting another endless war while conservative outlets proclaim the war an unprecedented success.

Let’s take the long view. President Trump has made the calculation that eliminating the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism is worth the immediate risk of potential U.S. casualties and temporary higher energy costs. This approach could reshape the Middle East for generations.

For such a dynamic vision to succeed requires fortitude, deep analysis, intense planning.

It doesn’t happen by accident. The Donroe Doctrine departs from 50 years following foreign policy experts with a history of colossal mistakes.

Yet, they continued holding their positions of power. Over decades, their miscalculations cost significant U.S. losses in blood and treasure. Trump rebuked those aimless failures.

Panama, Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Cuba: different headlines, but the same strategic doctrine — reduce rival superpower influence, protect global trade routes, secure American energy and national security. That is not randomness. That is grand strategy.

Throughout history, America became strongest when it protected its hemisphere, secured its trade routes and projected strength when necessary.

That’s the philosophy behind Make America Great Again. Our empty diplomacy ended in the Trump era.

Iran War is another of Trump’s blunders

In 2024, we were warned by Donald Trump that if Kamala Harris was elected, she would start an unnecessary war against Iran.

Trump later started that same war because, as he says, he is the only president with the courage to do it.

This is typical of a man with no relationship to the truth. The war is just like everything else he touches. It should be trademarked as ‘Another Trump Blunder.’

The Trump administration’s justifications for this war reek of hypocrisy. Iran’s nuclear program was already contained by the JCPOA that Trump terminated.

Spending billions of dollars and sacrificing American lives to supposedly help the oppressed Iranian citizens is contradicted by the DOGE cuts to USAID that saved little money and have already cost almost one million deaths.

Regime change requires more planning and intelligence than the Trump administration has ever displayed.

Donald Trump was elected because he convinced his followers their problems were caused by people who didn’t look like them benefiting from government largess.

The truth is his family and donors are the ones taking your money. The Trump children are making money from the war by selling drones. Poly markets associated with Trump are profiting from bets made on the Iran war.

The bomb that killed 150 school children in Iran was paid for by our money. And those children did not deserve it.

This war is ‘Another Trump Blunder.’ That is what Trump’s America is first in.
