EDITORIAL: Expand sales of craft liquor off premises from restaurants
Once again, a bill regarding the expansion of alcohol sales in the state comes down to one thing — giving New Yorker consumers a choice.
And if state legislators can give New Yorkers a new option for purchasing alcohol in a more convenient manner, while also helping out New York-based small businesses, boosting a growing industry and drawing potential customers to restaurants in the process, then all the better.
So state legislators should look favorably on a new bill (S3075) that would allow restaurants to sell certain private-label liquor for consumption off premises.
The bill only applies to the sale of alcohol........
