Live results: Thompson faces young Democratic challenger in Mississippi House primary

Rep. Bennie Thompson is fighting to hang onto his seat in Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional District as he battles with Evan Turnage, a former Senate aide, for the Democratic nod in Tuesday’s primary race.

Republican incumbents seeking reelection without any primary challengers include Reps. Trent Kelly of the 1st Congressional District and Michael Guest of the 3rd Congressional District.

Rep. Mike Ezell (R) is facing off against Sawyer Walters to keep his seat in the Magnolia State’s 4th Congressional District.
