Three Pakistanis killed in Houthi attack on commercial vessel

Three Pakistanis were killed in a Tuesday attack on a ship by the Houthi militant group, multiple officials said, an event that points to the threat of a widening regional war sparked by the fight between the U.S. and Israel and Iran.

Tahir Andrabi, a spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said during a press briefing Wednesday that “we learned with deep concern about this unfortunate incident involving an attack on commercial vessels, this was a commercial vessel, in the Red Sea.”

“According to the information available as of now, three Pakistani nationals have lost their lives, and one has sustained injuries. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families,” he added.
