Armed man arrested at golf course in California after scoping out security before Trump visit

An armed man was arrested at a golf course in California after scoping out security days before a President Trump was set to visit the Golden State, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bilal Essayli said 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele was arrested Sunday at a Trump National Golf Course in Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calif. He is facing several charges of possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle, according to the statement.

Essayli added that Taele was spotted “taking photos and video of security-planning activities,” ahead of the president’s trip to the West Coast to sell his economic messaging.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also discovered that Taele had ammunition on........
