Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-Md.) on Wednesday pushed back on some of the policy proposals included in the Democratic Socialists of America’s (DSA) platform, calling it “nutty stuff.”

Ivey said in an interview with NewsNation’s Blake Burman on “The Hill” that he thinks it will be “interesting” to see “what part of DSA these guys actually are.” He later added that there is “the other part of it out there, too.”

“I saw the president of the DSA talking about, you know, eliminating prisons and, you know, eliminating the Senate,” he said. “And I just think that’s kind of nutty stuff that, you know, really, I’m not going to support. And I don’t think any voters anywhere will.”
