Dr. Jonathan Reiner, former Vice President Dick Cheney’s cardiologist, wrote Wednesday that President Trump “has not looked well” during his second term.

Reiner, who is also a professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University, penned an op-ed in The New York Times noting past presidents who have hidden the state of their health, including Presidents Grover Cleveland and Franklin D. Roosevelt. He noted that by comparison, “Cheney’s candor about his health was an anomaly for an American politician.”

“Despite reassurances from the White House to the contrary, at times over the past year, the president has not looked well,” Reiner writes. “I am not Mr. Trump’s doctor, and have only reviewed his records that have been made public. But Mr. Trump is probably the most photographed president in American history, and a variety of physical ailments are easy to see.”
