Israeli, Palestinian majorities doubt there will be permanent peace: Gallup

Less than a quarter of Palestinian and Israeli respondents believe lasting peace will be achieved in the region, according to a Gallup survey.

The poll, conducted from June through August and released Monday, found that only 21 percent of Israeli adults said they believe peace with Palestine will be reached; 63 percent said it will never come.

Just 23 percent of Palestinian respondents said peace will be reached; 65 percent said otherwise.

Gallup surveyed Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and east Jerusalem, with the company noting that it was unable to poll residents of Gaza in 2024 or 2025 due to “security issues.”
