Trump: China has committed to withholding military equipment from Iran

President Trump said Thursday that Chinese President Xi Jinping committed to withholding military equipment from Iran during the bilateral meeting between the two leaders. 

“He said he’s not going to give military equipment. That’s a big statement. He said that today,” Trump told Fox News’s Sean Hannity in an interview. 

“He said that strongly, but at the same time he said you know they buy a lot of their oil there and they’d like to keep doing that. He’d like to see Hormuz strait opened,” he continued. 

China has consistently maintained that it is not supplying Iran with weapons.
