Democratic New York City mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani said on Monday he is canceling a town hall with WABC in New York over Disney’s decision to indefinitely suspend Jimmy Kimmel from his late-night show.

ABC did so following pressure from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over comments the comedian made about the suspect in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“I am withdrawing not as an indictment of the local affiliate or the hardworking journalists, but rather in response to the corporate leaders who have put their bottom line ahead of their responsibility in upholding the freedom of the press,“........
