Elon Musk appeared to accuse President Trump of "ingratitude" in a post Thursday on social platform X, after the president suggested the billionaire's criticism of the "big, beautiful bill" was self-interested.

Trump was asked about Musk's criticism during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House.

Trump said Musk seemed to miss being in the White House and was upset about Republicans rolling back Biden-era electric vehicle incentives. Musk responded on X, saying Trump would have lost the election without him.
