LA Lakers sold to ex-Disney head Bob Iger, Josh Kushner

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly been sold to Bob Iger and Josh Kushner for more than $12 billion, a record for any NBA team in history and a total that is believed to be among the highest valuations of any North American sports franchise.

The deal, first reported by ESPN, is worth an estimated $12.5 billion and will hand control of one of the NBA’s most iconic franchises to Iger, the former chief executive at Disney, and Kushner, the brother of President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
