Americans cutting back on streaming platforms as belts tighten
More Americans are cutting back on subscription-based streaming services amid broader concerns about the cost of living, according to a new study.
The survey, conducted by Deloitte, found that more than 40 percent of Americans said they’ve recently cut back on entertainment subscriptions due to financial concerns, while 75 percent expressed frustration that the entertainment services they subscribe to continue to raise their prices.
The findings come as more consumers cut cable and linear television packages and opt instead for streamers like YouTube TV, Roku and others.
