Soldiers killed in Fort Hood chopper crash identified

(NewsNation) — The two soldiers killed in a helicopter crash near Ford Hood, Texas, on Wednesday have been identified.

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Deontre T. Huey and Warrant Officer Seth L. Olmstead died Aug. 12 after what the U.S. Army describes as a “mishap” with a chopper.

The two were conducting a maintenance test flight, the U.S. Army said, when the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter “experienced a mishap” around 1:40 p.m., crashing in a Central Texas field and killing both on board.
