Former AG Pam Bondi says she was diagnosed with cancer

(NEXSTAR) – Pam Bondi was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, the former attorney general told CNN on Wednesday.

Bondi said she has been going through treatment, including surgery, and is “doing well, though.”

Bondi’s diagnosis reportedly came after she left the Justice Department. President Donald Trump fired Bondi from her post in April. She had been serving as his attorney general since the start of his second term.
