On Saturday, NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center issued two geomagnetic storm watches — one each for Monday and Tuesday — in response to an M1.8 solar flare that erupted on the Sun. A subsequent coronal mass ejection, or CME, was associated with the flare.
