OTTAWA—It is a trade war, but more. The crazy guy down south might just continue to Sharpie his way onto more parts of our maps. It sounds like a television show and it sounds like a threat, all at the same time. There is no quick resolution coming because the governance structures of that country have been irreparably harmed. 

Then, there’s the problem of residential school denialism T-shirts for sale, which is an existential threat to survivors walking amongst us, threatening to wipe out their lived experience and memories of those lost. 

I wonder how First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Elders are thinking about all these threats? I wonder what wisdom they would choose to impart to us?

Ottawa Must Fix the Rules to Create Certainty and Help Us Grow

In the face of numerous vectors of threat, it’s helpful to know enough of history to learn from the resilience of those who survived it. The uncomfortable and necessary step here is to comprehend the impact and pain of the challenge first, and then one can truly understand and respect the resilience. 

Canada is now in a quiet and desperate struggle to find its shared sense of purpose. Are we just the tail of the giant dog........
