Gov. Kemp Announces $1.2B Pirelli Investment in the Peach State
Gov. Brian Kemp on Tuesday announced the expansion and investment of Pirelli, a company with roots in Italy, into the Peach State.
Created in 1872, Pirelli is one of the world’s largest tire manufacturers, creating products and services for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. It has been the “Global Tire Partner of the Formula 1 World Championship since 2011 and is well known for its advanced technologies, manufacturing, and desire to deliver results on advanced ideas.
While the company was founded in Italy, it expanded into the Peach State in 2002, setting its American headquarters in Rome, Georgia. It currently employs 234 Georgians through its manufacturing and headquarters operations in the state.
