ROOKE: NYT Wants Women To Surrender The Most Precious, Irreplaceable Experience Of Motherhood

Our modern world constantly bombards women with messages about achieving “equality” in every aspect of their lives.

In Nona Willis Aronowitz’s opinion piece in The New York Times (NYT), “The Secret to Marriage Equality Is Formula,” she argues that breastfeeding should be the next perceived slight that needs to be sacrificed on the altar of women’s liberation.

Aronowitz is the daughter of second-wave feminist critic Ellen Willis, which clearly informed her feminist drivel for the NYT. She suggests that women who exclusively breastfeed find themselves in a world of imbalance and that the only way to allow for equity in parenting duties is for mothers to forgo breastfeeding and insist on formula. She frames this as a feminist revelation, claiming that her own personal experiences found that formula feeding led to a more balanced household.
