There has never been a time in history when Americans disapproved of the media more than now. Still, someone calling the shots at CNN thought it would be a good idea to conduct and air an interview with a violent Mexican drug cartel.

A February Gallup poll showed that about a third of U.S. adults say they have no trust at all in the mass media (newspapers, TV, and radio). This is a serious issue if you run an organization like MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, etc., because viewers and readers are leaving their products in droves for alternative media companies like the Daily Caller or other news outlets.

It would be understandable if liberal media took a look at their current product to reevaluate their offerings and moderate their bias to attract Americans back to their stations. To CNN’s credit, they have brought in commentators like Scott Jennings to bring a conservative voice to their panel shows. Jennings is now seen as a conservative bulldog in the arena against their liberal hosts and guests. His ability to combat the left-wing narrative on CNN is often the only reason to watch their channel at all.

I want you to imagine that an invading force came to our shores and prepared to enter our cities. Among them are many violent criminals.

Would we really first go to a judge and ask if the President of the United........
