Mariners End 24-Year Misery With Glorious Postseason Win

I’m not the biggest fan of the city of Seattle, but there’s something special about their sports teams, the Mariners included.

The “Emerald City” absolutely exploded Sunday night after the M’s scored a 3-2 win against the Detroit Tigers, which became the first postseason victory at home for the franchise in a whopping 24 years — nearly a quarter of a century! But the misery is finally over.

Around 47,000 fans packed the seats of T-Mobile Park in what was a sell-out crowd, and the nearly 50k in attendance had one hell of a night as history was made with the long-awaited home victory. The fans’ roars were so special that you can hear the emotion in them.
