My View: Positives and negatives of smartphone reliance are tough to sort out
My friends and I are sitting at a restaurant, with our cellphones on the table, like extensions to our conversation. The dings and rings disrupt our train of thought; it’s constant. And I suspect our phones are weakening our concentration and memory. I frequently refer to my phone as my external hard drive.
