Swindonians say Magic Roundabout is actually "super easy"
Adver readers dismissed the suggestion that the Magic Roundabout was terrifying to learner drivers.
It was voted the country's fourth scariest junction in 2009 and was last year, in celebration of its 52nd year, named UK Roundabout of the Year.
The consensus amongst instructors that spoke to the Adver is that the iconic junction hub, which consists of a swirl of five mini-roundabouts, “is a necessity” for Swindon.
Swindonians sounded off about their experiences on the unusual landmark.
Sarah Maddock said: “The magic roundabout is not terrifying. Most driving instructors will take you on Mannington as that can be more stressful.”
Natalia Frances said: “They don’t anymore, it’s not been included in the practical test for a few years now.
“If instructors have spare hours, however, they will take their students on this roundabout.
