Inspectors visited Great Western Hospital’s unplanned medical care area in May 2024 to inspect the 10 wards offering 320 beds.
Despite the hospital as a whole being labelled as 'requires improvement' - a rating which still stands as no new full reports have been carried out - inspectors found that unplanned medical care was "well-run, safe and effective", and staff were 'kind, compassionate and high-quality'.
