Readers' moving tributes to legendary Swindon boxing coach Harry Scott

Adver readers have paid tribute to a boxing coach who died earlier this month.

Harry Scott, a former boxing coach who is best known for training Jamie Cox, winner at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, died at the age of 86 at Great Western Hospital on Sunday, April 20 following an illness.

Harry was a coach at the Walcott Boxing Club for more than 40 years and more than 30 of those he was head coach. He worked with children with social services to help them improve their life and keep them off of the streets.

A fundraiser has been set up to help pay for his funeral and contribute towards a memorial.

This news prompted an outpouring of condolences and kind words.
