How Swindon would transform RAF airfield hangar warehouse
Adver readers offered several suggestions for how to give a warehouse in an airfield hangar a new lease of life.
The site at RAF Wroughton is now available to rent for nearly £200,000 per year on flexible lease terms from 12 months for £195,000 per annum for 49,000 sq. ft of space.
It has been marketed on Zoopla, and the warehouse, available immediately, is unfurnished and at a secure site with high-level LED lighting.

Richard Balch said: “If it's Wroughton, why they can't allow people with aircraft to hire it out so they can keep them safe and bring back a airshow there?”
Rob Davey replied: “Like a private airfield/club/local airport for small aircraft, not holiday charters. Short haul flights to Scotland or the Channel Islands, Isle of Man maybe.”
Chris Ackroyd replied: “Too much local competition with Cotswold Airport and Gloucestershire Airport.”
Jason Spickett replied: “You could never fly in and out of there again, the runway is knackered and some of it’s covered in solar panels.”
