Frustration at Thames Water as burst pipe floods Swindon

Mead Way was closed for some time after a burst pipe flooded the road on Thursday.

Hundreds of West Swindon residents woke up to no or low water pressure on April 3, as water poured from a burst pipe on Mead Way and flooded the street.

Homes in the postcode areas SN1, SN2, SN5 and SN25 were affected, and Westlea Primary School was forced to close, while Shaw Ridge Primary School delayed opening.

Firefighters urged residents to stay far away from the flooded road.

As a result of the closed road, people were left frustrated and unhappy.
