Debate erupts over Kioki night club Swindon sculptures
Sculptures remaining outside a nightclub in Swindon Old Town have sparked debate among readers.
The Balinese-style heads were put in place on either side of the front door of the venue shortly before the club opened in 2022, and in October last year Swindon Borough Council ordered their removal.

Martin Newman said: "Yes they aren’t appropriate for the Conservation Area and were put up without Conservation Area Consent."
Replying, Colin Hughes said: "Martin Newman, are you kidding me - Are we talking about the same road - I couldn’t give a …. If they stay or go but to give 'conservation area' as a reason is laughable (in my humble opinion)."
Mr Newman came back, saying: "Yes, that is detrimental to the Old Town Conservation Area, but two wrongs don’t make, they were erected........
