THE Welsh Conservatives have announced their first four candidates for Monmouthshire and Torfaen for next year’s expanded Senedd election.

Peter Fox, who has represented Monmouthshire since the 2021 election, is the party’s top candidate for the new Sir Fynwy Torfaen constituency.

It has been created as the 32 Westminster seats in Wales have been paired to create 16 new super constituencies, for the May 2026 Senedd election, which will each elect six Members of Senedd as the Welsh Parliament expands from 60 to 96 members.

Parties have to put forward a list of candidates and the greater percentage, or share, of the vote in each........
