Should we abolish the Welsh Senedd?

In the run-up to the last Senedd election in 2021, the ‘Abolish the Welsh Assembly Party’ hit the headlines across Wales.

A YouGov poll from January 2020, claimed around 24 per cent of people would vote to get rid of the Welsh Assembly. The BBC even published the headline: ‘Abolish the Welsh Assembly Party may win seats in 2021’. Separately, WalesOnline ran a story which claimed the Abolish Party were set to pick up five seats.
