Mr. Plaisted's letter (December 1) exposes the harsh truth that pro-Europe advocates deliberately ignore: the UK was misled and exploited by the EU.

The claim that membership was 'free,' was a lie, in reality, the UK paid billions a year to Brussels—money drained from British taxpayers with nothing in return.
