Music lovers in Gwent have a jam-packed weekend ahead, with events sure to suit a variety of tastes.

On Saturday, August 9, the Pontnewynydd Sports and Social Club will be hosting The Remakes, a 50s and 60s band, who are set to transport attendees back to the golden era of rock and roll.

Also on Saturday, the Ponthir House Inn will be hosting a Saturday Summer Soul event.
