Youngster is chosen as winner of poetry competition
A young girl from Newport has won the first Newport Festival of Words poetry competition.
Justice Mansfield, aged 10, a pupil at St Patrick’s RC Primary School, was thrilled to be chosen as the winner.
Her poem, titled "Newport - The Place to Be," is now displayed in the city centre.
It has been reproduced in full on a giant book in John Frost Square by Friars Walk, to help promote the inaugural Newport Festival of Words.
