A beloved Coronation Street star has quit the ITV show 10 years after her first appearance.

In last night's episode, Bethany Platt (played by Lucy Fallon) said goodbye to the cobbles to start a new life in London.

The character returned to the programme last year and quickly reconnected with her former love interest Daniel Osbourne (played by Rob Mallard).
