Viewers have begged BBC bosses to renew a "bloody brilliant" sitcom for a second series.

Smoggie Queens, which recently aired on the public broadcaster, received praise from hundreds of fans on social media with many calling for it to be greenlit for a new season.

The programme, which is filmed and set in Middlesbrough, tells the story of a group of mostly queer characters, including Volatile Dickie (Phil Dunning), drag queen Mam (Mark Benton), Lucinda (Alexandra Mardell), Sal (Patsy Lowe) and newcomer Stewart........
