An Emmerdale star, who has been on the ITV show for almost two decades, has announced that she will be taking a break to focus on a new chapter in her life.

Isabel Hodgins, the actress behind Victoria Sugden on the programme, first joined the soap 19 years ago.

However, last night, she shared that she and her husband, Adam Whitehead, are expecting their first baby just months after getting married.

Because of this exciting news, the Emmerdale star has hinted that she will be exiting the show for a period of time to focus on the child.
