File - A plume rises behind a building in Esparto, Calif., as a wildfire burns on Sunday, July 1, 2018.

“This type of incident is very rare, as facilities like this are required to not only follow our stringent California pyrotechnic requirements, but also federal explosive storage requirements,” Cal Fire said in a news release with the Esparto Fire Protection District.
