7 missing in huge Northern California fireworks warehouse explosion

LATEST July 2, 2:30 p.m. Seven people remained unaccounted for nearing a day after a fireworks warehouse exploded, causing multiple fires and evacuations in Yolo County. Evacuations remain in place as risk remains, Cal Fire said Wednesday.
Officials said they believe the facility is owned by an active pyrotechnic license holder and is working with the owner to track down where the missing people could be.

“This type of incident is very rare, as facilities like this are required to not only follow our stringent California pyrotechnic requirements, but also federal explosive storage requirements,” Cal Fire said in a news release with the Esparto Fire Protection District.
